Being Active!

So, Spencer likes to run... I don't run. It's just not my fave thing in the world. It's more like my very LEAST fave thing. But I don't want to be that wife whose husband works out a lot, and I just sit at home and eat ice cream. I need a work out too! So, I decided I wanted to start playing tennis. Why tennis? I'm not sure. I think initially I just wanted a cute tennis outfit. Until Spencer decided that wasn't necessary :( I guess it's true though. Considering I'm notorious for trying things once, and never wanting to do them again. So last night we went and played tennis! Ohhhkayyyy. I LOVE it! I am the worst possible. But I still thought it was so much fun. Poor Spencer couldn't play up to his ability though because if he did, I couldn't ever get to the ball and hit it back. Then it was just him hitting the tennis balls and me missing them, that's not fun. So he went easy on me, but I will say a scored a few points as well :)

After we were done playing we walked/ran home. Walked mostly, ran somewhat to escape the bugs in the air that were trying to kill us! Literally. Once we got home we decided we needed a good stretch. Then I whipped out my Drill team skills and asked him if he wanted to do a "Drill team stretch" so that's what we did. I do believe his exactly words were "this is more of a workout than a stretch!" HA, whoever said drill was easy :) nonetheless, we had a very fun active night! Tennis will definitely become a regular habit :)

Oh ALSO! Yesterday was mine and Spencer's 3 week anniversary :) YAY! love him so much.

We had a great weekend! First of all, my husband is so creative. He is so good at decorating homes and has such a keen eye for things! Which suits me perfectly considering I am the WORST at that kind of stuff. I know it's the "girls" job to be good at it, but I couldn't be happier that my husband is so good at it :) I came home from work friday and Spencer had made this cute flower arrangement thing to put in this beautiful vase we got for our wedding. I was so surprised and impressed! He has also made the commitment to me that since he only works a few hours on fridays, and I work all day long, he would be in charge of dinner Friday nights whether he cooks something, or we go out to eat :) so on Friday he took me to Chili's! YUMMMM.

On Saturday we went to an owlz game with my parents and brother and niece. It was way fun! I will say, I enjoy the whole being outside and just hanging out more than I actually enjoy watching the game. Also never have I been to one of these events (any sort of sports outing) with Spencer where he hasn't caught a shirt they throw to the crowd. But this time, he caught TWO. And almost killed a few people while doing so. I swear he and my brother took out the whole crowd with there wrestling. It was such a fun night and I'm so lucky that I love spending time with my family! BTW.. My Niece is ADORABLE!

And then of course, we relaxed on Sunday. Just what Sundays are for :) love my life, love my fam, and love my husb. So happy!

24th of July!

We had such a fun/lazy 24th! Spencer and I both had work off, and not much else to do, so we laid around most of the day just relaxing :) It's so nice to just be able to hang around the house with my husb and not have to worry about getting things done for a change! Later that evening we went to my parents to have a bbq. AND to watch a few episodes of Pretty Little Liars, my fave show! And Spencer's too (even though he won't admit it) we love it! We had a fun bbq and then walked down to the Johnson's to see their new toy :) it's so much fun! And of course to play a little wiffle ball. Can't have a holiday without that!

We then of course did the Holiday tradition and watched some fireworks! The last one we did tipped over and shot at us, it was very thrilling! Over all we had such a great 24th and I'm so grateful to be able to spend days like this with family and friends. I'm so lucky! 

Adie and Haidyn were so cute. Kept saying they were "Best Friends!" all night long :)

Happpyyyy Birthday!!

Can I just say, I LOVE my in laws. They are the best. They make me feel like I've been a part of the family forever. We have so much fun together. Yesterday we went to Nun's park and had a picnic for Lyla's (mine and Spencer's niece) birthday. It was so much fun!

And I just want to give a little shout out to Lyla who is TEN years old today! Woo! We love how sweet, spunky, and energetic she is. She is the most obedient child I personally have ever met. Such an angel. Love her so much!

Honeymooning!

If I had to bet on it, I would say that our Honeymoon was the best there ever was! I have such a sweet husband who did all of the planning on his own and made it so perfect. Our first night we stayed in American Fork in a honeymoon sweet called 5th Ave. This place is AWESOME. It has all differently themed rooms, such as, Paris, Italy, Tahiti, Beverly Hills, and other ones that I can't remember. Spencer was thoughtful enough to let me see the rooms first, and then choose which one we wanted to stay in. We chose the Beverly Hills room :)

We woke up the next morning and had breakfast from the breakfast basket Spencer's cute brother and sister in law made for us! We LOVED it! We took our time getting ready and were off to Salt Lake! We stayed in a Honeymoon sweet in Salt Lake called "Armstrong Mansion". This place is sooo nice.. and sooo creepy! It's very old fashioned. Has pictures of old people all over that look like they are going to haunt you in the middle of the night! Even so, we loved this place. The room was so nice and had GREAT breakfast! Hubs did such a good job picking this out :)

The next day we stayed at our house in Orem. It was so perfect, cause we had so much packing to do and getting ready for Cali! Out plan was to wait to open gifts until we got home from California, but when we walked in the house and saw them all, I was too excited!! So we called our parents and asked them if they could come that night and watch us, they of course could, and we opened them! We got so many wonderful things and are so blessed. It was so much fun!

AAAnd we were off to California! YAY!! Cali was too much fun to describe. We stayed in an amazing resort called "Bahia" it was right on the Bay and had tons of fun water toys to rent and things to do. It was also just 5 minutes from tons of shops and the beach! It also had a ship that went around the bay for about an hour each night, we called it "The Booze Cruise". EVERYONE was wasted besides us. But NO ONE would dance besides us. Pretty sure everyone thought we were the wasted ones :) It was absolutely perfect for us. We spent most of our time relaxing in the sun, eating out, and being together. We did take one day and went to Sea World! Sea World is my favorite place and Spencer had never been there before. And since we were so close we had to go! Spencer loved it just as much as I do. Disneyland is the "Happiest place on earth"?? Yeah right. We were so sad once it was time to go back to reality. We had a funny taxi driver on our way back to the airport who gave Spencer some good advice about marriage. He told him, "Happy wife happy life!" haha I thought it was great :) We had the best honeymoon anyone could ever ask for. I'm so lucky to have such a thoughtful hard working husband who planned it all out so perfectly!

The Most Perfect Day.

July 9, 2013 was the most perfect day a Bride could have ever asked for. The weather was perfect, the setting was perfect, and the Groom was perfect. Spencer and I got married in the Manti Temple at 10:45 AM. The Sealer was amazing and the Spirit was so strong. These days are supposed to be hectic, and crazy, and stressful. But this wasn't. Not for Spencer and I anyway :)

After the Sealing we went to the Luncheon. His parents did a magnificent job at getting it set up and looking beautiful in the Noyes building at Snow College. Both parents spoke, Spencer spoke, and I.... sang. What?! Who does that. Luckily, the microphone didn't work during my song so no one could hear me besides Spencer. It worked out perfect.

Later that night we had the Reception in my backyard. My parents worked all day every day in that yard to make it perfect for us, and it was! They did such an amazing job. We were very blessed due to the fact the it rained everyday before our wedding, and everyday after, but the day of was GORGEOUS! We could not have asked for better weather. We had so many who came and supported us. We definitely felt very loved and blessed. Couldn't ask for better friends or family. Needless to say, I love my Husband more than words can describe and I could never make a better decision than marrying him. (unless it's having babies with him!) I'm the luckiest.
