Camping Cottles :)

We had such a fun camping trip for many of the Cottle's birthdays! We camped at Snow Canyon in St. George and sucked up the nice warm sun :) I'm used to camping in a trailer.. with a bed.. and stoves.. ovens.. but not these guys! So I had my first tent camping experience! Haha it was so fun. I was chilled at night, but other than that it couldn't have been more perfect. We hiked, went to the sand dunes, went swimming, and just played played played.

It was really such a fun trip! And I must say... we have the CUTEST nieces and nephews. How did I get so lucky to marry into this family?! Love them so much!

Happy Birthday Spencer Love!

Yesterday was Spencer's BIRTHDAY! :) He's an old man now. 26 years old! I'm obsessed with birthdays. Mostly my own... but now Spencer's too :) We are fortunate enough to be going on a cruise in a few weeks, so Spencer didn't want to celebrate birthdays this year and just have that be our gifts. Buuuutt I just couldn't handle that. Plus I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get him some stuff for the cruise :) So since we both have to be at work in the morning by 9:00, I really didn't love the idea of getting up earlier to make a fancy breakfast. But my whole life growing up my mom always let us pick whatever breakfast we wanted her to make for our birthdays. So I had no choice but to keep the tradition alive! Except for instead of letting Spencer pick, I wanted to surprise him. Also, I just really wanted to make this Texas toast french toast casserole thing that took all the work at night, leaving it in the fridge, and popping it in the oven in the morning. So I didn't have to get up earlier at all :) I somewhat decorated the kitchen while Spence was sleeping, and then woke him up to a yummy breakfast!

I let him choose if he wanted to open gifts at breakfast, or dinner, or both, or whatever. He got too anxious and opened them all at breakfast :) haha nothing exciting, clothes and sunglasses and the movie Saratov Approach, aannnddd some ab pill things that he wanted... haha. But it was fun to watch him open them! Then we were off to work. I felt bad we had to work on his birthday, but I guess we're grown ups now :(

After work we went out to dinner! I surprised him with reservations at PF Changs. We've tried to go there before and there's always like an hour and a half wait... so I made reservations this time just to be safe! I also had both of our parents come as a surprise :) Not really a surprise party.. haha but I just think it's fun not knowing what you're doing for your birthday! His parents and my parents brought him a few gifts he could open during dinner and we had so much fun! I was so happy everyone could make it. Then we just went home and I gave him his dessert I made! His fave thing in the whole world is mint oreos and white chocolate. So I dipped mint oreos in white chocolate! haha. and I dipped some strawberries as well :)

 Spencer cute Bday cake
from the restaurant :)

Not the best looking... but it all tastes the same :)
Then he decided to try on some of his new clothes. His mom gave him the CUTEST outfit! I love it. The shorts are more trendy. Like tight, and shorter than he likes. But my goodness he looks like a babe! I think I've convinced him that that's the style now days and it looks soo good. :)
See how GOOD he looks?!

So overall I think he had a good birthday! At least I really hope so :) ALSO it was our one year anniversary since we got engaged! Spence proposed on his birthday last year :) so cute. He had a whole speach prepared for me after we got home last night about he much he loves me and cheesy cuteness for our anniversary. Love him so much.

Las Vegas and Happy Birthday Sky!

Generally... I hate Vegas. I hate the whole "sin city" aspect. I hate the billboards. I hate the immodest girls on the streets. I hate everything it represents. I think it can be a very fun place and I know so many people who love it! And that's great! It's just not usually for me. But we went this last weekend and it was actually very enjoyable! I love the warm weather. I love the fun restaurants. I love that there is always something to do. This weekend was by far my best experience there :) It was my brother Skylers birthday, and the BYU basketball tournament. He's a die hard BYU fan, so we decided to go down and watch them play. Actually... The boys and Jill went and watched them play. My mom and I stayed at the pool :) There's not much I love more than laying out in the warm sun! We went to Rainforest Cafe for dinner one night. MY FAVE! :) I love it so much. I love the atmosphere and the fun thunder storms. Haha I just think it's great. We also went to the Rio Buffet! Soooo much food. I of course filled up after one plate, which was really depressing since I wanted to try so much more. So I stuffed myself as full as I possibly could! And felt so sick after. But totally worth it. My mom and dad treated the whole trip :) my mom did so good in finding a nice place for us to stay that was NOT on the strip! It had 2 nice pools and a fun lazy river. We loved it! We walked the strip both nights and it really wasn't as bad as I was imagining! I love the water show at the Bellagio. So we watched that and just enjoyed other stuff as well! It was a much needed, relaxing, warm vacation :) perfect. Big thanks to the parentals!!

Love these cuties :)

Watching the water show! (I definitely look like I'm expecting... don't be fooled. We are not!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SKYBOB!

Everyone at rainforest :)

A fun game at the coke store place. Trying all sorts of coke products from different countries, and guessing where they are from. Way fun!

Of cour Pleasant Grove was playing the the basketball championship while we were gone, so we had to just stare at the phone for updates all night :)
