What the? HOW have we been married for a whole year!! Best year of my whole life. We had such a fun anniversary. For our wedding night we stayed in this cute little bed and breakfast called 5th East Hall in American Fork. It has themed rooms and is sooo fun. So, we decided to go stay there again for our one year! We stayed the night before our Ann, so we could take work off on our actual Ann and play all day. This time we stayed in the "Cancun" themed room. It was sooo cool. There was sand, and BIRDS!! (trained to go quiet when the lights go out... and they really did!) and huge tub, hammock, romanticy bed, and just everything. We had so much fun.

Complimentary breakfast :) |
So we went and checked into our room, and then decided to go to dinner. (I have to tell this next story just so I'll remember it... feel free to skip ahead!) So Spence reallllyyyy wanted chinese for dinner. And we love Whistle Wok in AF. So we were gonna go there but then I really wanted to go to China Isle and try something new. So we go there, we get seated, and we start looking at the menu. I just didn't want ANYTHING they had to offer! It was so weird. I for some reason just couldn't figure out the menu and how to order and what meal and all that stuff. So I begged and begged Spence to just walk out with me... and we could go to Whistle Wok. Haha he was SO embarrassed. We had like 6 different waiters come up and ask for our order and we just kept saying we weren't ready yet, because I was still begging Spence to let us leave. So finally he agreed and the waitress comes up and I'm all... "Uhhh... we don't feel like this anymore. We didn't drink out of the water cups don't worry..." and basically ran out. haha it was so funny. To us. Sounds really lame when just telling it...hence why I warned you to skip ahead. Your fault if you decided to read it :) So after dinner at Whistle Wok... delicious! We were driving around and drove past Swig. My coworkers LOVE swig. I don't drink carbonation or like treats really... so I've never been. We decided to go in though so spence could get a "dirty dr. pepper" I ended up getting an icee. SO GOOOOOODDDD. Something about their ice was incredible. So we just hung out there for a bit and ate our delicious treats :)

mmmmm. |
So on our actual anniversary, we slept in, woke up, and went to the aquarium! I have been wanting to go for so long since they moved. It was pretty cool! Honestly I didn't feel it was too much better than the other one, but I love the aquarium so I thought it was fun! They do have these cool 4D movies where the chairs like move and they spray water at you and stuff. We saw a great white shark movie. It was really cool! And of course petting the sting rays is by far my fave part :)

apparently we were supposed to do a normal face..? |
After that we went to my parents house to get our year old cake! Haha it actually wasn't that bad. We had fun cutting and eating it nonetheless :) and thanks to my pops for being there and documenting the moment!

So allllll summer long I have been begging for a bike. We live so close to everything I need... I just want a bike to ride to get places. Not and expensive one. Just a cheap little beach cruiser from walmart. And that's exactly what Spence got me! After we cut out cake he took me to Walmart and told me to pick out a bike!! Haha but then I felt guilty that we would be spending so much on me and I just gave him a few homemade gifts. Plus, it's not very fun to just ride around by yourself. So, I talked Spence into getting one too :) It seriously took like 2 hours to pick them out. I probably road every bike in the store before I decided. And wherever the saying "it's like riding a bike" came from, like meaning you never forget... is way off. Haha I haven't ridden a bike in forever and maybe I didn't totally forget... but it takes some getting used to! I still have a hard time steering the dang thing!

We put a little basket on the back of mine and went to the farmers market to get some fruit and veggies :) |
After we got our bikes it was dinner time! We went to Iggy's. Spencers alllll time fave. And I love it too! There was no one there and the waiter we had was the niiiiicest. He gave us an extra plate of fries just cause, and free dessert! It was the perfect ending to the perfect day :)

so nice! |
This part wasn't technically on our anniversary, but I made this little date night thing for Spence for our ann. I came up with 12 date nights, one for each month and numbered which month to do which date so it would be weather appropriate. So the one for the month was the Sundance moonlight lift ride! We went last night and it was super fun. The line was sooo long. So we kept our selves busy by me teaching Spence the alphabet in sign language. Haha it was so fun. The lift and time just the two of us was well worth the wait and the money!
It was such an amazing anniversary! I don't know how we'll ever top it :) Thanks to my cute husb for being so perfect. I know I'm the luckiest.
