Baby is a...GIRL!!

That's right... baby girl for us!! YAY! Pink, and fluffy, and ruffles, and bows, and YAY! We found out on October 2nd :) We were so excited and scheduled our appointment early that day so that we could find out in the morning instead of waiting all day for it. So we are in the waiting room talking about what if's and stuff, and this mom is there with her little girl. All of a sudden this little girl starts gagging... I knew immediately that that was NOT going to end well. So I turned away really fast so I didn't have to see what was about to happen next. But sure enough... she just puked right there in the waiting room right in front of us. And the mom caught the vomit IN HER HAND! Haha I then decided that I'm probably not cut out for this mother thing ;) So that was a disturbing start to our appointment, but oh well... it was soon forgotten once I was in the chair and the Ultra Sound had started! The tech who was doing our US was so darling! She was sweet and explained everything we were seeing. When I saw the legs I could tell it was a girl immediately... but she hadn't told us anything yet. We were going through some other stuff and then she paused on the babies little privies and asked if we had any guesses. And we both said girl! And then slowly she typed the word GIRL next to the privies :) It was really fun and we were so excited! She then went through everything little part of the baby in full detail. Measured everything! It took a good 45 minutes. Once she was done she said the doctor was going to come in and just look over everything and let us know if there was anything to be concerned about. So the doctor came in and started looking and said "You have a VERY photogenic baby! I need to get some pictures of my own so I can use them for my report this year" ummm yes please, make our baby famous before she is even born :) haha he was really nice and made us really happy by calling her photogenic :) so that took like another 45 minutes for him to get his own pictures. LONGEST ULTRA SOUND EVER! But I mean hey... I guess I'll just stare at my baby all day, I don't mind :) They actually gave us a DVD of the whole thing so we can watch it and see her whenever we want! I love it.

We went to my moms house right after we found out so we could hurry and stuff some cupcakes with pink frosting that I could take to work to announce! My mom always felt like we were having a girl, and she was very excited when she became right! She baked all morning for us so that it was quick when we came to pick them up :) I got to work and gave everyone a cupcake. It was so fun when they bit into it and saw the pink frosting! The video can show how cute is was much better than I could say.

 

They are so cute and so fun to work with!

That night we had some family come over and do the same thing! We didn't catch that one on video but they were all cheering and cute and excited!

Don't mind the fact that I look exhausted.... I was.

Also, Spencer painted the nursery for me! I always wanted to gray walls with stripes on one of them whether it was a boy or a girl. So that's exactly what he did! YAY!

And then... some bump pictures. I'm not actually great at taking them, and I'm really not particularly loving the whole gaining weight thing. It's been a lot harder for me than I was expecting! BUT I guess that's all part of growing a human :)

And that's us so far with the whole baby thing! Hopefully some nursery pictures will be coming soon as I am SO ready start decorating :)
